Booking, Cancellation and Refund Policy

This policy applies to all tutoring sessions and session packages purchased through Bar Exam Prep. By booking a tutoring session or purchasing a tutoring package, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. Booking of Tutoring Sessions

Bar Exam Prep provides individual tutoring sessions for candidates preparing for the Victorian Bar Entrance Examination and the New South Wales Bar Examination.

All sessions must be booked in advance through the Bar Exam Prep booking system or by direct arrangement with Bar Exam Prep.

Payment may be required at the time of booking.


2. Cancellation of Individual Sessions

If you are unable to attend a scheduled tutoring session, you must provide at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled session time.

If cancellation is made:

  • more than 24 hours before the scheduled session, the session may be cancelled without penalty and any prepaid fee will be credited or refunded.

If cancellation is made:

  • within 24 hours of the scheduled session, or

  • if the student fails to attend the session (“no-show”),

  • the session fee may be forfeited and no refund will be provided.

Bar Exam Prep may, at its discretion, allow the session to be rescheduled in exceptional circumstances.

3. Rescheduling of Sessions

Students may request to reschedule a tutoring session by providing at least 12 hours’ notice before the scheduled session time.

Where sufficient notice is provided:

the session may be moved to another mutually agreed time without additional charge.

If a rescheduling request is made within 12 hours of the scheduled session, Bar Exam Prep reserves the right to treat the request as a late cancellation and the session fee may be forfeited.

4. Tutoring Session Packages

From time to time, Bar Exam Prep may offer pre-purchased packages of multiple tutoring sessions (“session packs”).

Session packs may be offered at a discounted rate compared to individual sessions.

Sessions within a pack must be booked individually and are subject to the cancellation and rescheduling rules set out in this policy.

5. Refunds for Session Packs

A session pack may be cancelled and refunded within 48 hours of purchase, provided that:

no tutoring sessions from the pack have been used.

If one or more sessions have already been completed, the completed sessions will be charged at the standard individual hourly rate, and any remaining balance may be refunded.

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method where reasonably practicable.
